The Farmington Soccer Club was started by a small group of passionate soccer lovers who began with a small advertisement in the Farmington Observer looking for players in the cities of Farmington and Farmington Hills who would be interested in playing soccer. The program consisted of in-house teams and travel teams who would compete against neighboring Livonia, Plymouth, Northville, Novi, and South Lyon. Games were played at local elementary schools.
 

This spring is the 40th anniversary of the Farmington Soccer Club – the Ruby year.  A few numbers showing what the Club has done since 1976:

·        We have competed as one Club represented by more than 1300 teams

·        We have played in more than 11,000 matches

·        Our coaches and managers have volunteered more than 20,000 hours on the practice field – I don’t think I can calculate the hours spent preparing, thinking, dreaming, setting goals, etc.
